A game set in a real world, driving sim
A few months ago I was looking through a discovery queue and unfortunately I didn't write it down, basically the game is a first person driving simulator with world being build from google maps or something like that, very realistic with focus on virtual travel.

Does it ring any bells?

Well, American Truck Simulator & Euro Truck Simulator try to be fairly accurate for travel & locations.
