it is the equivalent to (slightly filtered) "window shopping"
it shows you mainly things that are:
- popular
- positive reviewed (Steam and metacritic)
- seemingly random (but also popularity-driven)
and prioritizing games you have played in the past matching them via their tags and trivializing games that were already shown to you via the queue.
you can apply 12 (existing) tags for exclusion to each queue. that is about it.
for other needs, there are other methods to find games that work differently and allow more filtering options:

Sorry, but your well meaninged reply missed the point completely.
I am talking about the discovery queue your referring to the categories that list titles.
So yes I am familiar with how the tools in the categories sections work and how to manually search for a game.
My post was specifically about how to better encourage the algorithm to better react to individual preferences. And so far the only option is to have a very long list of excluded terms.
The recommendation list need to have better algorithm for game suggestions !!!
I wish it let you have more negative tags, they limit the number you can have.
