Cant Create a APP ID to host a Garry's Mod Server

-Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place-

Hey guys as the title says I'm not able to create a garry's mod server and I'm not sure why.

When I go to the link to set it up I put in 4020 as the App ID, put in a short memo just saying server, Click next then I get a error saying :

Failed to create account: 24 (Owner account does not own app 4020)

- I clearly own garry's mod with over 1,000+ hours of playtime.
- I pass all requirements

I have no idea how to fix this and would like any help anyone can give me.

Very odd, It did let me use 4000 so I'll try that and see if it works. Thank you man. Weird tho is I have always used 4020 with no isses, could it have been moved maybe?

Not something I normally delve into but checking SteamDB was easy enough. I doubt the APP ID for Gary's mod had changed.

Ok, so SteamDB says that 4020 is the APP ID for the dedicated server, not the base game:

Technically it is a different app, by the number. I also think that everyone with a Steam account has access to the tools like "gary's mod dedicated server" in their library...there are a lot of tools that are available by default.

did it work? it seems to be that i need specific the token from 4020 and 4000 doesnt seem to work for me. It states the same like yours, but i clearly pass all requirements

This was from 2023, I have moved on from the game. Sorry i can't really help you on this at this point.
