Few? Not really. Not only preventing the bots from spamming requests but users who spam them just to have more "friends."

I'm sure Valve would rather have people sift through those large amount of bad eggs. It isn't just a few, so they would need a staff dedicated to it, more money spent.

Sounds good to me, there is no reason to add everyone to a friends list for no reason, go to Facebook if that's your thing.

:teddy_talk: 30 requests per week, that's a lot for me. I'll usually get a 0.5 average every 2 months on incoming friend requests (including repeat ignored requests, I usually don't block)

However sending out friend requests, I think 30 per week is good.
On my sent friend request of 10, I would say 20% will accept and out of that 20%, I'd say, 60% will eventually unfriend me due to varying reasons :D
