Counter-Strike 2 – Attempted Scam Warning
🚨 Steam Scam Warning – The Worst “You Bought My Item” Scam I’ve Ever Seen 🚨

Today I received a completely random message from some profile claiming that I “bought his knife on the Community Market” and that he “didn’t receive the money.”

He sent me a screenshot showing my name as the buyer — except I don’t even play CS, I’ve never bought anything on the Market, and the screenshot was clearly edited (a very common scammer technique).

He tries to start the conversation all friendly (“Hello,” “are you busy?”) and then drops a fake screenshot pretending my account bought his item.
The intention behind this type of scam is always the same.

And then the comedy begins.

The guy sends me this masterpiece of graphic design failure. I mean, the screenshot mistakes were chef’s kiss:

Wrong font sizes

Wrong date format

Wallet balance floating like a Minecraft block

My name added with the alignment skills of a drunk raccoon

Prices that don’t match the currency style

A seller history faker than a Wish product review

And the best part?
Even after I literally said “I don’t play CS,” my man kept going like an NPC stuck on the same dialogue line.
He didn’t blink. Just kept reading from his scammer script like he was auditioning for the role of “Worst Steam Fraudster 2025.”

For anyone new here, here’s how this scam works:

➡️ They pretend you bought their item
➡️ They show a fake screenshot
➡️ Then they push you to talk to a fake Steam Support account
➡️ And that’s when they try to steal your items or full account

Some reminders:

⚠️ You cannot see who bought your Community Market listing.
⚠️ Steam Support does NOT talk through chat.
⚠️ These screenshots are always fake.
⚠️ If the English looks like it was translated by Google in 2007 — it’s a scam.

So yeah, if anyone else receives this Oscar-worthy performance, just block the guy and move on.

Stay safe — and may your scammers at least put some effort next time. 😂🔥
