Hello there new user! welcome to steam, arguably one of the best video game platforms out there, with absolutely 0 scams from purchasing games, the best support team, and loads of plays to make friends with and meet. Here are some things you should know:

-You can only get refunds if a game you purchased was bought under 2 weeks and you have less than 2 hours of gameplay on it:
-Most players are either Russian or English (e.x. American, British), so be prepared to pull up a translater, although I have found very few other language speaking users that isn't Russian or English.
-Not everybody is going to be nice; obviously, especially in games like TF2, you're gonna meet some real jerks or even hackers.0 Luckily we have VAC (valve anti-hack) so that shouldn't be a big problem.
-You can upload and sell games of your own! (if you have 100$, I know it's dumb)
-If you get hacked, don't even cry the support team will literally send out the U.S. marines and an air strike squad to whoever is hacking you. (not actually, but they are very effective in getting your account back unlike other platforms because steam cares)
-Don't play GoreBox unless your computer is from NASA, it will always crash on you.
-Matter of fact don't play Getting Over It either unless you're feeling suicidal.

Steam has existed since the 2000's, in that time many, many games have been sold on steam, ones you even heard of. Sine 2022 I have played on steam and I can say I've got my hands on some of the best games you can play. If you cam here without any money, that's okay too! There's loads of free games like TF2 and Cry of Fear.
