Steam Client WebHelper using way too much CPU and RAM
Anyone else having problems with Steam Client WebHelper lately? I opened Task Manager and saw a bunch of them running, some not responding, using a ton of memory and CPU. Steam was just open in the background and it was eating like 3 to 4 GB of RAM and around 25% CPU.

I found a few things that helped. I turned off GPU accelerated rendering in the Interface settings, disabled the Steam overlay, and switched to small mode. I also opted out of the beta and restarted Steam, which seemed to calm it down a lot.

If you want to try it, you can also launch Steam with
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" -no-cef-sandbox
or
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" -oldclientui
though sometimes Valve disables those.

After doing all that, it’s running a lot smoother and the WebHelper processes aren’t going crazy anymore. Just wanted to share in case anyone else is dealing with the same issue.
