I don't know the games that you've mentioned, but do they have compatibility issues with your operating system, I ask because I use Windows 11 and older games do have some issues. Check the specific game forum for those particular games and see if that's the case and a workaround is available.
It's probably a small file like that that needs updating, be aware that Microsoft Visual C++ has several variations of it, I just update them all, that usually covers me for older games that require a different version rather than running in compatibility mode.
I'll check the XMP later after work and get back to you whether it's on or off and test if it's on.
First thanks for the advice I test but had to reinstall the original as it couldn't even launch without the original.
As posted above by cinemax, officially Steam will install everything you need to run that game, but I've found, especially while using Windows 11, some games do have issues, usually a workaround is available and a quick search online can resolve most issues. Hopefully, you can resolve the problem and test out your new PC.
Again appreciate the advice and support apart from steam everything else has been fine and no problems elsewhere so enjoying the PC and hopefully can get this sorted.
