Hello,

I am brand new to this community and so far I have downloaded a series of xbox games and tried to play with an xbox one controller. Each game seems to hate it and I have been unsuccessful in playing a single game to this point. The controller itself interacts with the steam app itself just fine so I am at a loss for what to do.

Jade Empire - the dpad wont work, everything else does
Republic commando - only responds to mouse and keyboard
L4D - works fine in the menu of the game but when the game starts, only responds to the mouse and keyboard

at this point I dont want to keep trying games and just want to give up on this platform altogether - has anyone else had trouble with compatability issues and buggy games not functioning right after purchase? Spent a solid amount of money on the controller and the games so far and have spent more time trying to fix the game so it runs (jade empire took hours) or trying to fix the controller layouts, remap them, only for them not to function in the game itself. There seems to be little to no support from valve themselves and considering the amount of money they make from this platform I am about to just request refunds on all these games, return the controller and cut my losses.

Any advice would be helpful.
