Why not add a friend and find out
besides playing games with someone or chatting about like minded stuff. besides that, can't think of anything else, besides some steam players is like some facebook users, more "friends" the better
I found a friend for you: Click!
I wouldn't join discord either.
How about this one?
Some people enjoy to collect "friends" to see numbers go up.
Some add specific people who are active in the activity tab (posting screenshots and statuses).
Some look for genuine connection along with becoming gaming buddies. There's definitely more.
What is the value of making friends?
I enjoy seeing the activity and screen shots etc, sometimes interacting with those people. Also good for seeing the latest freebies that you may have otherwise missed
Most of the friends I have I know from the old SPUF forums, we used them regularly and played similar games so had things in common.
If you play co-op games then I guess it's great to have a few friends that you can rely on, rather than randoms on public servers.
One of my Steam friends also posts regularly of any free games available on Steam, I can also see their activity when they purchase a game or post a review, that can sometimes help me to decide if that game is worth getting.
no, but i have avoided being murdered or recruited into either a cult or secret government cabal MKUltra-style wetworks operation. we look on the bright side around here, y'know?
i like to buy games or DLC for people who are just all round good people and arent out to scam or abuse others.
