Does steam have any super easy games for older folks 60+?
Hello, My dad has recently retired and I'd like to get him into playing pc games. However he isn't tech sevy at all. The first game we tried moving around with WASD was to much for him. He plays candy crush so I'm guessing he likes puzzle games.

Any have some suggestions for stupidly easy games that older folks might enjoy? Preferably something that can be played with a mouse/touch pad?

Thanks

how about the episodic telltale games, it has some puzzle elements and the games could entertain him as if he were watching a movie. I would prefer the walking dead and the wolf among us

He could give dark souls 3 a try.
Its a easy to pickup rpg action game i assure you.

Jokes aside, is he into rts/strategy games?
If so maybe the Civ series or the company of heroes games would be fun

my 61yo dad was playing Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead and Killing floor with me.

I can recommend you Zuma Revenge, Peggle, Bejeweled 3 and Plants vs zombies, easy casual games for everyone

4 Elements, Puzzle Quest, Bridge Constructor or maybe board games. Something like Ticket to Ride perhaps?

You can try searching for one from the Casual type of games.
I think most casual games fit for elders.
my recomendation would be Bejewel, Zuma, Peggle.
tabletop-style games also good : scrabble. monopoly etc (they can always play single player mode)

Just tell him you are looking into games for "ELDERS" ;)
that 'll piss him off enough that he will probably want to kick your
butt at whatever FPS or whatever you are playing ;p

I would let him try out a castle defense type game in a theme he would
enjoy. If he does not like that maybe a SIM type game.
ZUMA is fun as mentioned.

If you want to help your dad become more techsavy, Back in the late '80s early '90s this game helped me and some friends to better understand PC-use, with STDs as a metaphore for sloppyness on the computer :

This software has a lot of minigames & big games as workshop items. And who knows, maybe the 2 of you would enjoy making your own games together to draw in even more familymembers:

Lastly some advise. Steam also has educational software section :

You can change the controls of most games in the 'Settings' tab.
Try that out.

I hope this helps.

Warm Regards & Merry Christmas!

I recommend Euro Truck Simulator 2, you can set the controls to automatic and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Europe.

Another spin on ancient Arcades. I like Dubstep but as i know i am an exception among the 50year old Ppl this game probably is not for your father. However there are many more like this available on Steam and as i recall some of them allow us to use our own music files in-game. Allas for you i don't know the names of these games.

Oh, and have your dad search around for himself for titles from his childhood. A good example :
there is Lego, there is Batman. And there are Lego versions of Batman and Batman editions of Lego.
