Big Sur Support
On the 15th of October Steam will no longer be supporting MacOs version 11, aka, Big Sur, meaning the client will no longer allow me to run it, does this mean I lose access to my entire library unless I buy a new computer?
My laptop is too old to make the jump from 11 to 12, so just updating unfortunately isn't a solution for me

Being unsupported does not usually mean client will stop working immediately afterwards but it will always break inevitably because your client stops receiving updates while rest of the world continues to move forward. So yes, if you're unable to update the OS, now is the time to start looking for new computer if you want to keep playing Steam games.

If you're on a Mac that can run 11 but not 12 that is a 2014/15 laptop. That thing has lasted 10+ years. I think it's time for an upgrade. You can get m1's cheaper than a steam deck if you do a little searching. Will be an amazing upgrade for you as well.
