Source SDK

i simply cannot get it to work ive been reading for hours and tried tons of things and always missing gameinfo.txt try vconfig ( i cant find vconfig anywhere) this is really irratating im trying to make a garrysmod map

is this for sdk 2013?

it says source sdk base

i use to map with this a lot i just got back and now im trying to map again nothing is working none of them for any game in the sdk launch options

something happened with steampipe after an up date if you have been off for a wile you might not know. I realy do not use it but you might want to check into the steampipe issues. if it is not the new sdk 2013 which was just released a few weeks ago you would have had to download it to be using it. it would not auto update since it is a new sdk

and have you made a map or worked with it as of yet (sdk2013) or are you stuck with just the frame rate tester

its a frame rate tester when u luanch but when u go into the files and u can see hammer

you can down load it or cloan from here after this I cant help try the try the wiki developer page for steam you should be able to get the info you need from there

The second link listed above now below https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SDK2013_GettingStarted should give you all the info you need to compleat the install. All of which was way over my head so I stoped there. That is why I said I could not help from that point. it seams you will still have to download another program and do things with the code. this stuff may be simple for you but I just dont get it. why this is not all put into one program is beyond me but this is what they have done.

suposidly there is a vid on youtube but no link was given. There are many people having issues with the new setup there may be more info in other posts in steam descusions that could help you further. At the top right of this page there should be 4 links to this issue from others on steam.
