Need help getting SDK/Hammer to run on HL-2 EP 1 configs

Hey all!

I love making maps for CS: Source, but they are all limited due to it being a MP game, so I got this copy from a friend who gifted a pack to me which had HL2 EP One (Lucky me).

I now want to run source SDK with it on Engine Version 2006, but nothing happens for all games, I get an error, click run anyways and still nothing, no hammer, or anything, but on SOurce Engine MP it works fine for CS Source.

Any help in how I can set it up for source sdk and so on? I really want to get making maps before my 2 week break starts and I go back to school :P

We have just made a topic on GitHub. You may of heard of this site, but the source of it actually came from the word of Valve - asking us to post all bug reports there.

We just posted this: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Source-1-Games/issues/287 Which informed them of why source sdk is not working in as detailed a way possible.

Please, please, please reply to the topic to keep it bumped up to the top, and type all your (positive, well spelt and gramatically correct) feedback there - so that they are more likely to read it.

Dont be afraid to make your own topics too - signing up on that site is simple - and seeing as valve said about it https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7388-QPFN-2491, its definatly worth a shot.

Thanks for teh reply, I fixed it myself actually, it works on many users that tried it from what I heard!

tutorial can be found here, how to fix the visual file missing problem, gameinfo.txt missing problem, and fps lagg. its a 2013 tutorial, after watching you should have it all working :) worked for me,
