so, i've completely ruined all of my goldscource games
so, i've experimented with widescreen, and now, even with widescreen disabled, the text and option menus are all enlarged.
how do i fix this?

Usually you can set the resolution on the cfg files or using command line parameters..

Go to game properties.. set launch parameters
add this
-full -w 1024 -h 600 -freq 60
Then open the game and set the correct resolution, dont forget to remove the params later.

go in properties and set launch launch settings,
then type "-windowed"
