most overrated bands of all time
ac/dc, nirvana, pink floyd, kiss, iron maiden, the beatles, metallica, queen. I'm sure there are many more.
couple of hits and people act like they are music geniuses
perhaps nirvana takes the top stop, basically like one hit, poor music, trashing stuff while high, people talk about them like they were gods and you should be thankful

Grunge music in general was the most overrated, but not even that being idk if it really was. More or less a quick fad that came and went being many did not like it.

But would agree Nirvana was terrible.

Any group that doesn't play their own music, I don't care if it is a boy band, rap, or any other form of music in a similar format. I can't trash any band too hard though if they have multiple songs that were hits, they either had some talent or a really good promoter.

As far as say the others you mentioned, Iron Maiden just another 80's rock band, so yeah that was overrated, but again, they were not that big in the first place. Just another band.

Kiss and their music way overrated, but not their influence. They were just all over the place back in the 70's. It was more the makeup, the Kiss trading cards. The Kiss Radio. The Kiss Army, Toys, even on the DayTime talk shows and their own halloween tv show.

You name it they were huge. The music may have stunk, but not the brand.

AC/DC were just doing things nobody else was doing in the mid 70's. They didn't really hit until the 80's, but their style of music really created the 80s rock sound. So no, they were not overrated.

The Beatles, well, needless to say they started it all.

And Metallica just over distorted noise, and so yes they were overrated.

they had like 2 hits, one of them is like a ballad. That's basically it.

Not really, no. In fact, Steve Perry may be up there as one of the best rock singers of all time.

I can't stand his voice, it's so high and annoying. Same reason I hate Rush.
