Why does Asmongold trigger leftists so much?
He's like the most milquetoast centrist ever and yet they hate him.

He triggers me for the same reason he triggers women, and I'm not even a woman

Because he don't hate the other tribe enough, try to use reason and don't repeat mindlessly their propaganda. So they see him as a "traitor".

It's as simple as that.

I'm merely baffled someone who had a wall he would use to wipe the blood off his gums and lives in complete filth would have such an intense following.

His subreddit has nothing to do with him at this point and is merely used to complain about the "woke dei" agenda in games.

He is the walking embodiment of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overton_window. Not an expert on anything, nor does he claim to be. Not exceptional in any way; physically or mentally. Has mostly centrist non-controversial views. Literally just a dude who plays video games (and someone who should clean their house more)

But any time he says something reasonable that doesn't align with terminally online radicals, it bothers them. Why? Because loads other normal people agree with him.

It breaks a radical person's echochamber. Shatters the illusion where they think they're the majority opinion on a given subject. "How can a dude who is so wrong have millions of followers and views?"

Thus they attempt to slander him. Even people who have not actually heard his full arguments. Even if people would otherwise share the exact same views. Even if their only exposure to him is out-of-context clips.

They just presume he's some "nazi" who has roaches crawling up his shirt during streams.

He isn't even particularly right-leaning on his positions. Yet he's become one of the many cases where leftist & centrist content creators and youtube channels get pushed to the right because of left-leaning extremism.

If he was just a dude who played videogames he'd be making less money from reaction content and political commentary than he is
I don't actually watch the dude, so I only ever learn of his takes second-hand.

The only "triggering" thing about him is that I have a hard time understanding how a dude who looks as if he smells like an unwashed athletic supporter left on a hot leather car seat for a week is making a living off of essentially being a living Capital-G stereotype.

But then, I also have trouble processing how traditionally attractive people who mostly market "you're not as hot as me" are making a living as "influencers," either.

...I don't understand how Jake Paul has a career except through hate-watching.

I just don't get "influencer" as a job description in general.

This may be my sign that I am old.

Lmao the very idea of using Reddit. Please. This is like when the Romans thought their opponents were all hairy and stinky, when in actuality, they also knew what soap was

its always funny when people bring up those "performative" stories he tells, to belittle him, it sure brings in the clicks and keeps him "living rent free" in everyone minds :lunar2019laughingpig:

he has the bait on lock.

well.. he often makes videos laughing at peoples stupidity, and it just so happens that a lot of stupidity he can laugh at comes from libs to no fault of his own. thats about it really?
I'm too old to understand this whole influencer-stan thing you kids are obsessed with.
BuniBealla 12 月 8 日 下午 5:28
cause he's radiation levels of mank and trying to recruit more stinky nerds to wipe out all life on earth
all the rats and roaches took their own lives after realizing that they're stuck inside with him uwu
basically a WoW savant who reacts to politics and sometimes looks into the things presented before him with objectivity; or gives a highly opinionated rant to avoid doing so then moves on. Not really my cup of tea when trying to gather perspective. More of a sensationalist.
