Much like Disney, they thought they could keep jacking up prices forever while largely resting on their laurels and no longer innovating and the people would still gobble up whatever they put out.
I think both companies have been (and will continue to be) proven wrong about that in the long term.
My only 10/10 game by real measure. There is NOTHING wrong with that game.
Their only moves now are petty attempts to drag everybody else back down to their level.
I'd like to add, however, that the original Switch was still a product born when Iwata, an engineer and game dev, was president. He still had heavy influence over the product and pricing even after he was gone.
They replaced him with a suit -- just another business man who sees numbers and not games. We are seeing the new generation of Nintendo under the leadership of a man who only cares about making line go up. Nintendo is going to be in for a rude awakening in a few years when their business hits a wall.
They said that about Switch 1 though. All wrong. Timecapsules are interesting to read though.
The OT necromancer is a wonderful person, I can read braindead Switch 2 takes 5 years from now.
i know they are just doing what is successful for them, and the games i listed ARE good but...
i am ready for something new!
