modern houses are disgusting, old architecture is much better
i genuinely wonder how someone can look at these flat roofed, square shaped glass boxes, then at a glorious victorian house, and think "yes, we have progressed so much, new houses are so much better"

every architecture school is pushing these architecture style for houses, every new house being built is that style. even the 1990s suburban houses, which were pretty decent, are not being built anymore because they are seen as "old and outdated" by the globalist pigs who control architecture schools.

the globalists want us all to live in these sh-thole houses whilst they themselves live in beautiful old mansions. their hypocrisy is truly disgusting.

oh, by the way, the white led street lamps are equally disgusting, the sodium orange ones were way better.

I agree that old architecture and housing looks better.

Unique housing is much nicer than the template group housing of today.

I still think there's the basic concepts to check:
- Up on a hill so water flows downwards off it

I know sodium orange street lights are as disgusting as Trump's fake orange makeup, but seriously it's meant to me easier on the eyes or something compared to what could be? You don't want to see a white ghost Trump, seriously. It would make you crash!

Post and beam is better than stick construction, helped my dad make one when I was younger, he he did it all himself from cutting the trees onward. After that he got into solar and that house was entirely off grid, used a water filer with sand and gravel from a pond uphill. Thankfully it was his second house from property that he bought from his grandmother which had been in the family for generations. I spent most of my time in his first house, small but I like reliable hot water and not having to walk half a mile one way to get on a school bus, which did happen occasionally.

They look like medical buildings. Architecture is limited to making one box stick out further than the one below it. But every facet of society has suffered, music, art, film, and AI is just propelling the trend. Creativity and imagination are dead.

Grew up surrounded by ornate Victorian architecture with some Germanic and Norse mixed in, everywhere. Over a hundred years old quite often. Right next to them were vinyl sided boxes plopped down. The contrast was quite obvious, and causes the population to subconsciously live decay daily.

But it's difficult. You should look at games such as, Deux Ex Human Revolution, Mass Effect 2 DLC, Max Payne 3. Those have really nice modern houses.
The new Counter-Strike probably also has a few good modern houses.

All pre-2012. We all know it, unconsciously. The world did end in 2012.

The real problem is globalists maintaining inflation high to protect their debts. Everything is overpriced, when it should go down because of innovation (it cause deflation), but thanks to central banks it will not happen. If everything cost way more than the real price, then peoples go for efficient designs, simple shapes, because it cost less. And yep, it's ugly, but "cheap".

Another difference is, before peoples lived in their houses almost all their life, now peoples change home several times in their life and if you want to be able to sell your house easilly to move away, then you want it to be a "standard product", an empty page for the next owner.

If you want the beautifull homes back, break the central banks and make peoples move less in their life.

I look at these houses with these cartoon porches at the front door, barely big enough to fit two feet on. It's gross.

the idea of living in an old house is better than actually living in an old house.

oh look at how gorgeous this house is (just don't look under the sinking floor boards, behind the bulging walls or sagging ceilings)

look at that BIG fireplace and how warm it will make the rest of the house (just don't try to light it or you'll cause more smoke damage)

but it has great bones (just don't tap on the door frames as it may anger the termites)

the wallpaper adds so much character to the rooms (if you touch the wallpaper you can feel the cracks althrough the old plaster)

I'll take a carbon copy of my neighbors house any day over the money sink that is ANY HOUSE pre-2000

My house was built in the 1950's. My house growing up before that was built in the early 1800's and moved at one point. None of what you just said is true. I've been in plenty of these houses.

Also your post sounds like AI. I was going to ignore it but I'll just say it.

Perhaps we could combine modern architecture with demonic or angelic influences? Perhaps something could be made of this concept.
But then you are drawing your inspiration from the Bible again. It's not as if that hasn't been done before. You should probably think of something new and original. Besides, Capcom already kind of went there with some of their franchises.

old house not abide by modern building code. structure sturdy and hard to renovate. and construction in today will be very expensive.

Your modernism and victorian styles both suck. And postmodernism is a self-deprecating joke. Only constructivism and monumentalism is where it's at, but contemporary attempts at those always end up as brutalist ghettos. :ThinkingAnne:
