What exactly counts as smart?
Just wanted to ask guys and gals (assuming if they even exist to type on OT) on what you guys consider as smart.

...Cause we live in crazy world and yet we have someone with a medical license approve fat people being healthy or commit the cardinal sin of having a kid transition without even letting them fully to comprehend the consequences and make the choice themselves to just please what is basically a trend made by left wing extremists.

Meanwhile I'm over typing my schizo ramblings time to time whenever I go on OT while when trying learn how to draw just slam my head first (metaphorically) into the learn curve wall till I find out what sticks... when I could've learn this all from a book or tutorial... that also has me slamming head first into the same learning curve wall cause it's easier said than done...

Cause it takes practice.
Just like playing a video game. Only difference it's much harder and motivation is much dire when you keep failing over and over again.

...Because life is hard.

...Also have you tried playing a game where you never get any stronger from learning the experience?
That would suck.

And when you see them? You know: They are smart. I hear, I obey. If I do not, I am dumb. Because they are smart.

If we consider intelligence as the capacity to understand our environement, then it's related to your understanding of what / who is around you.

For example, you see a pair of scissors next to you.

An extremely dumb person will not be able to guess what it is and what is its purpose.

An average person will superficially understand the utility of the objet and what it is made of.

And a superior intelligence will understand what's the purpose of each particle inside the objet and the exact effect it have, even at a quantic level. And maybe even conscious of some realities about it we haven't discovered yet.

Now, feel free to place yourself between these two extremes, probably close to most other humans, fellow average Joe.

There's many definitions of "smart", and ain't nobody who's actually smart gonna try and say there's only one way to merit successful thinking.

Only fools would argue about how to authenticate intelligence.

I would also say that the same person can be very smart in, for example, their professional field, but incredibly dumb when they go beyond their area of expertise - say, a complete layman when it comes to communication, and so on

It's simple. Black square on head = smart. No black square, not smart.
Black square does thing and is good thing.
No black square does not do thing and is other thing, and if it says thing, it is bad thing.
Simple as.

Now that out of the way there is also the hierarchy of the black cube as well. There are black square wearers who are more smarterer than others at different times, so this should not be misunderestimated by the unedumacated.

Most definitions of intelligence people throw around are situational and ultimately relative concepts.

So it's not "exactly" anything.
