Was 2009 the last golden year of gaming?

im too lazy to check what following years are like, but i have either not played or am not interested in quite a few on this list.

demons souls is a favourite of mine, as all miyazaki games are. L4D2 i still regularly play. dragon age origins is great, but i would probably not be putting it anywhere in a top 100 games list for me. i liked bayonetta and arkham asylum, both of those would also not be in a top 100 for me. played league for a few years, still watch it but i am not sure i would call it a great game...

and i dont really like borderlands, call of duty, uncharted, or assassins creed.

The 2009 games are mostly still playable for better or worse, and we have had 16 years of new games created since then. So I'm going to say that the current year is always golden and I don't understand what motivates people to debate particular years.

remember there is NO good reason why any game shouldn't be available to buy. just legal ones.

1993 to about 2010 were video gaming's golden age, I would say.

my favourite demons souls area is actually valley of defilement. i actually love miyazakis gruesome poison swamps, and that one has some really dark, horror atmosphere.

latria is probably my second favourite though.
