lol they would get bombed to hell before the Feds gave up the entire west coast. Although CA turning into 2 states wouldnt be a bad idea, i think NorCal was wanting to become Jefferson state

They were supposed to increase the number of seats to be relative to a fixed number of represented per representative but they don't want to build a new house of congress/senate or whatever their reasoning is.

And with arbitrarily fixed seats, that means adding a state would decrease their own power, so nobody would vote for it.
