old threads vs new threads.
1) when thread(s) from 2018 - 2023 get comments and have gaps of days or more, between comments being made.

2) when a 3 month old thread, gets a comment after a day.

supposedly only the latter, is "bumping".

also, quite telling when moderation cant be bothered to punish agitators, whom make rude and insulting comments and are reported, but not punished or even deleted.... but instead, they just lock your thread... and delete comments not breaking rules, under the guise of "bumping".

also, quite telling when moderation allows individuals to spam off topic with bait topics, to incite arguments and discourse like 5-10 threads a day and allow them to stay up on the forums, despite said topics, being against the rules.

ya....

edit: thanks for the points.

have a nice day peeps

sounds like (in the OP and the context below) report abuse and biased moderation to me...

guess ill be wasting time with support again, to get the report abuse, warning, locked thread, etc.. handled.

not to mention, people who spam youtube links with zero context (no words), but isnt considered "bumping", or even spam.

or others whom spam AI generated posts, repeatedly... but isnt considered spam.

have a great day peeps

in addition, i linked almost 10 threads to support, showing the hypocrisy of old threads getting comments, that are getting comments between day(s) or longer.

while mine is somehow special and a comment after a day of no comments, is some how "bumping".

side note: apparently, i have to make comments repeatedly (spam), so my thread dont go without comments, for hours/day(s), or its bumping, unlike the other threads.

not to mention, comments directly stating they are "bumping"... but somehow, arent "bumping".

excluding its locking due to agitators making rude comments and moderation not moderating, but simply locking my thread for no reason, because thats how this forum works i guess.

lets see what support thinks about it... even if i have to make several tickets, because ofc... one support member will claim everything correct, while another will say its all unwarranted... :steamfacepalm:

as well, seems... people can run around name called, insulting, accusations, worse and more, but almost never get punished, but if another does it, they are instapunished, which has been a regular occurrence for quite awhile now.

that said, im glad i screenshot moderation messages and support tickets, they will be handy in the future.

have a wonderful day peeps

that was a huge support ticket i just wrote.... i wonder if they bother reading it all, i literally encompassed all thats wrong in this forum...

alt account usage, bypassing forum bans, agitators, bait threads to sow discourse repeatedly 5-10 times a day, all the "threats" or "incitement" inappropriate topics spammed by alt accounts, among a laundry list of issues in these forum....

that moderation doesnt punish, but allows and leaves posted, to cause inflammatory replies, to allow for report abuse and punishment, where no punishment would be required, if they had done their jobs properly according to reports and rules.

thats probably the longest support ticket i have ever made... and it outlines a metric ton...

have fun and a nice day peeps
Other than acting on specific keywords, the AI moderator is still triggered primarily off of mass reporting by sockpuppet accounts.

It also tracks the frequency and count of prior bans. If an account has been banned prior, the threshold for banning it again is way lower.

wishing people nice days is bad?

that said.. im going to keep spreading cheer and nice days, in this cesspit of a forum, filled with hate and violence, no matter whom likes it.

i mean, you could easily ignore it, or block and ignore me? not a hard decision.

if people here dont like me BLOCK ME, plain and simple.

and despite those whom dont like me, i will still wish them nice days and spread to them positive vibes.

HAVE A NICE DAY

could be, its hard to determine how they go about things.... i can go months without being punished, while trying my best to adhere to the "rules"...

yet i engage with specific users and suddenly im being punished by moderation...

i even have certain forum users, whom follow me around the forum (alt accounts and the like) antagonizing me and trying to bait me into arguments, i reply once, and suddenly moderation is punishing me, despite me not breaking any rules.

also to note, the "groups", whom go around mass reporting people, of which moderation and support, can see whom did the reporting.

its very blatant at this point.

though thats not to exclude, that we can see others breaking rules 24/7 and not getting punished in the slightest.

support knows about all of this, im just wondering when they will take action.

anywho have a nice day

Yep. The thing was poorly designed to begin with, and if it isn't biased towards certain users in a more deliberate way (possible) it's been gamed to hell. Things toast. The only people that think it's fine are the ones who've never had to deal with it.

yes, i wish people nice days irl as well, is that surprising?

It's why I barely even engage with OT threads anymore. It doesn't matter how sanitized and PC your comments are at this point. If you have the misfortune of deciding to respond in a thread that has the usual offenders ready to mass report you because they're trolls and/or don't like you and purposefully and actively go out of their way to antagonize you, you can be sure your post, no matter how much it's "within the rules" of the Steam forums is, will get flagged, even if it's a false positive and/or doesn't technically even break any rules.
