both is perfectly fair
Being completely alone and doing everything alone is a sign of insecurity.(thats also fine) i do that either and life is kinda pain. we are social animals.
the meaning of meaningful relationships is important for social animals. you never felt complete.
Those who deny this are only fooling themselves. i also sometimes do.

That said, some of my favorite games ever are co op, so definetly i enjoy them multiplayers sometimes

one just sits there and looks at me and does not touch her controller, and the other sits there and chews the joysticks of her controller, occasionally moving or doing something
