I am on Win 7.

It is supposed to support my newer intel CPU better due to being able to utilise the P vs E cores. Can't really tell a difference.

It's the same as windows 10 but they had to change some stuff to make it different. And all the stuff they changed is really bad.

They took away the customisation from the start menu so you can't have your icons how you want them and you can't have the side menu, that costs an extra click now for no reason. You can't access your downloads folder from windows explorer for some stupid reason. They got rid of words for things like copy and paste and replaced them with pictures that look like nothing.

I prefer using 11 because I enjoy it much more than 10, which felt too similar to 8, a version I disliked. My favorites were XP and 7.

I'm already on linux. Feels good to have PC's with 2 digit process counts from a lack of US spyware.

cause win 10 is garbage (and its unsupported now) and linux isnt user friendly, nor does it have the games list that windows does... and cant play multiplayer games with anticheats, that wont allow it.

as for win 11, its tolerable, with everything you want removed and hardware requirements bypassed, excluding its development bugs...

i will likely still try steamOS 3 though.

Except for some UI/UX issues/changes, Windows 11 has been fine.

11 is still the best OS choice, dontcha know? Don't forget to award.

Probably because they got gaslighted by their own computer telling them to upgrade, this happens to many people.

Because Linux sucks and Windows 10, as good as it was, does not have security updates anymore. Just switch AI off on Windows 11 and it’s fine.

I have three OS's running, Win10/11 and Arch Linux, dare to be different.

I tried 11 on release, it sucked
I tried 11 after a huge update claimed to fix a lot of stuff, it still sucked
I tried 11 with the same debloat tool I use for 10, it still sucked

Depending on whether W12 sucks or not it's either stay on 10 forever or go linux

Switched to Linux before 11 was mandatory.

Got a Gentoo HTPC in the living room stripped down to just what is needed, barely anything left to the OS at this point.

But for gaming, Linux just doesn't support some of my evergreen games. For others, it's hoops to jump through and I'd rather not.

As hardware and software keep advancing. Unfortunately people will be forced to, unless they want to deal with allot of annoyances— drivers and applications prioritization on the latest Microsoft OS etc. I love linux but it's treated like second class too often and I have way to many tools given my occupation and hobbies that I can't deal with the lack of support Linux has. Windows 10, well it's better than 11 and at least one of my PC's still has it.
