Fav prog rock band

Not to be confused with best as it's purely subjective, but the one that has had the most impact on you. Mine are pretty well known, a tie between Genesis and Pink Floyd though other honourable mentions as well.

Rush is top tier for talent. I saw them 3 times. Neil Peart went through a lot but still forged ahead and played right up to the end. Him and Phil Collins are amazing drummers, David Gilmour is an astounding guitarist with a sound literally oozing emotion.

Emphasis on metal.There are a number of hybrids out there that blur the lines. IE: Supertramp is a soft prog, Rush is a rock prog, newer Genesis (after Then there were 3) a pop prog.

Genesis for me.
I got other stuff like Omega aswell.
Hungarians singing english with "a slight accent" might not be everyones´ cup of tea however.

"john,mr,koytro koutromanos" posts a lot of obscure prog, so if you feel like something new, check out the YT channel

Firth of Fifth from Selling England By The Pound with orchestra is a rare gem. Or Echoes by Pink Floyd.I do have to check out more European bands as many don't get exposure in North America.
