Well this was an unanticipated development. I suppose it represents something of a failure of the Nobel committee though, that F.I.F.A. has to step in to recognize Trump's efforts. Any other year, an endorsement from an actual procession of Cambodian Buddhist monks would have made someone a shoe-in for a Nobel peace prize, and while yes, they did miss the deadline, I did not anticipate him getting the Nobel prize next year either for when it counts. Worthy of note is that this does represent somewhat of an international recognition since it is F.I.F.A., rather than the N.F.L., N.B.A. or M.L.B.

Of course, it would've been better if this had happened a little sooner. Trump's record on peace is a little bit marred by the strike on Iran (necessary or not, it is still an act of war), and the moves on Venezuela, but still, he has made some major moves towards advancing the overall state of world peace at least.
