recently banned for my comment in my current status thread, apparently it was irrelevant to the topic
had to open 2 separate tickets and after multiple back and fourth they saw it as brash and actually reversed it, I had already been banned for about a week at that point uwu

I was once banned because I mentioned that you can jailbreak consoles and a mod thought that I was teaching people how to hack.

I was once banned because I told a guy he was not unique.

I was once banned because a guy insulted me and I quoted him and so had his insult towards me in my post which the mod then claimed was me insulting them.

I was once banned because there was a rapist posting on a forum and I advised someone that it probably wasn't worth reading his post.

I was once banned because I upset a moderator's friend. The moderator even said that they did not read any of my posts.

I was once banned for saying that normal human beings are not capable of doing parkour while carrying 400lbs of batteries.

I was once banned for saying that I would like item highlights to be a toggle rather than a hold in Pathfinder Kingmaker.

I once got banned for saying that it wasn't worth interacting with trolls.

I once got banned for saying that people use your visual appearance to make judgements about you.

I once got banned because I pointed out the irony of antifascists being decked out in all black.

I once got banned for asking a guy who had said he didn't understand the passage of time and if he was ill.

I think their content analysis system is jacked up to 11 and they don't know how to adjust it down to reasonable levels.

My entire account got locked over a post saying that 18 year olds shouldn't be allowed to make content on adult platforms.
I couldn't post in the community forums, (& it actually deleted a few weeks worth of my posts on all forums), my friends/chat was broken, my profile/activity was hidden from friends, and I couldn't buy anything on the store.
Was crazy. Never experienced that before and hope never to again because I had to reach out to Steam and wait several hours in purgatory.

Its sad when they lift the ban but refuse to restore your post(s) that weren't banworthy.

2 of mine got permanently locked and steam refused to explain why, I've had my name and pfp like the above removed before for "breaking guidelines"
apparently nicknames and real faces are not allowed? lol uwu

Basically some kind of anti-spam thing flagged me for saying the name of that certain online platform as if I were advertising myself on that platform.
Soooo yeah, you'll probably want to avoid saying the names of those adult content platforms.

so they can auto-flag u just for mentioning an adult site, but somehow they can't stop people from postin scam sites everywhere. great stuff

Alts are against the guidelines if you use them to bypass bans, which I would guess is why. You have all of your alts have the same names, so it's obvious that they're alts. Most people running alts try to keep the names and profiles distinct.

this is a serious question but where in the guidelines does it say that. cus i ain't seen anything about that at least in regards to the forums. and besides that unless you using a different credit card every time, which i doubt, chances are they know it's u regardless of whether or not u try to look like an alt
