The leftist fear and loathing over AI is something incredible, perhaps an inferiority/imposter syndrome complex.

"affordable computing", literal ewaste is more than enough for anything other than gaming now, especially all the computers thrown out due to win10 eol, just toss on linux and then what do you have to complain about?

So George Gammon an economist I followed talked about the potential opportunity of longing commodities as AI eats Power and Rescources. He mentioned if it gets to the state of being a national security interest it could create international conflict and rescource wars as everything is prioritized to win the AI race. An example he gave in this scenario to was electricity would go to the data centers first and due to scarcity and production constraints we basically get shafted.

This post isn't even meant to be political. It's just reality. Companies are buying RAM for A.I. data centers. The same A.I. data centers that make your electricity costs go up and put more pollution in the air.
