No it isn't. Fromsoft games are overrated rollslop.
Play fatshark tide games instead such as vermintide 2 and darktide.

It's good. MUCH easier than the billion souls clones out there. The enemy attack animations are crisp and clear.

yeah, i think you would like it. it is much slower paced than elden ring or dark souls 3, if you have come from those. dark souls 1 still probably has the best map layout of any miyazaki game, everything is so tightly sewn together

Just play Demon's Souls (PS3).

I come from Hollow Knight and The Binding of Isaac, lol

It was the best one. I beat that all alone, with no internet connection at the time.

Got the thousand yard stare from that experience.

its much slower than hollow knight, hollow knight is more similar to bloodborne and sekiro with its fast paced dodging and movement.

but if you enjoy the dark fantasy atmosphere and lore built through the environment and esoteric dialogue from hollow knight, you would enjoy these things in dark souls as well. dark souls 1 is actually pretty similar to hollow knight 1 in how their maps are structured and how everything is very organically put together.

I enjoyed the 30 or so hours of DS2 I played.

I wasn't a fan.

Played singleplayer in 1 and 2, was pretty satisfied.

Dark Souls was peak at release when nobody knew what they were doing. Now you just run into tryhards with the same 5 types of builds.

I hate poison swamp enough to not like it.

Disconnect from online play, and you might like it if you enjoy challenging games. If you don't turn off the online connection, it's going to have a bit of pvp in it. And not the funny haha kind- More like the kind that ruffle my feathers.
