Moral of my story:
Don't have a parent that asks you make promises as a kid when they aren't able to keep one themselves.
Cause they didn't intend to keep it in the first place after you did what you promised.

Some folks are more fortunate enough to have their holiday spirit not crushed by the weight of disappointment or a broken promise made by someone who originated from a third world country.
