But I'd go the Z900. Though I haven't ridden a full faring sports bike so I'm not sure on what the Ninja 650 feels like comfort wise or how much better having farings goes on the highways.
I was going to get a KLR 650(loved that orange colour) at one stage too but they are pretty big and don't seem very good in traffic especially lane filtering. Also not the best tires for the road(I thought). Also kinda slow(plus no quick shifter I think). But bullet proof apparently.
Z900 and naked bikes are comfortable but it can get windy on the highways but I have nothing to compare them to. But I find them fine at speeds in my area(not sure of an autobarn though lol).
I have an F900R and is pretty good for what I need. I could've gone the MT09 but I didn't feel I needed that extra speed it shows on paper. So it's like a gentleman's hoon bike lol. And the tfts on the BMWs are really good.
Anyway I chose carefully and took into consideration the widths and weights of many bikes inorder to filter between traffic. Also the technology to keep me safer.
If I was to chose again I'd be looking at MT09s to test them out. And maybe street triples. Maybe Zs but I personally prefer the other looks. I'd love the new S1000R but it really would be a waste for daily street riding.
No opinion on the Z900 specifically. Nakeds are for metrosexual cityboys.
Ninjas are for squids. Wifebeater and khaki shorts are mandatory.
Obvious answer is the KTM 390 Adventure R.
Yeah sometimes I notice those KTMs in my rear view mirror. Nice bikes. Not sure how the KTM financial issues are going though.
