If you're curious, I recommend reading the Satanic Bible, accessible here;
https://ia600303.us.archive.org/6/items/pdfy-S7Va9xWFV5XFybhK/The%20Satanic%20Bible.pdf
Personally I dont consider myself a 'Satanic'. I am just of the old ways, which the church might deem one.
I dont see Crowley as an authority on the word though. The term took on shapes in peoples minds on everything from demonology, occults, masonry, all the Crowley stuff. None of that was ever mentioned in ancient texts. Its all people assuming and interchanging the term Satan for their subjective interpretation of darkness or evil. That is just how I see it.
He was a mysterious person that always seemed to be around Christ in the bible. Why? Was it his friend or brother? Most of the major religions through history talks about two sons that oppose each other and have opposite ideologies. One seems to side with rules and order and the other seems to side with nature and chaos. I see it more like that. I think its alot bigger than math or freemasons.
It's "Satanist".
That would be like saying read the Book of Mormon to learn about Christianity. It is new and random stuff with no connection. So it would be more like saying read the Washington Post to learn about Christianity. Make any connection to it, and I might read it.
It does not align with the numerous ancient texts in any way whatsoever.
Yes. But in its origins had nothing to do with that. It was very unknown for the most part if one wants to be totally honest. But in every theology that pertains to it, it was a battle of ideology, both claiming to be the way of peace. I mean the same stories in others such as norse, egyptian, sumerian, gnostic texts which was a sect not a term for atheism either, etc.
Why would one worship the light if it was created by darkness? Evil comes from the word devil. The devil is a being made of light.
If Christ is real then so is His word and therefore The Word.
Hold in mind that despite satan's antagonistic attitude towards God.
Satan used to be amongst God's servants and never called God or Jesus a liar.
Something to think about maybe?
God also let you die and suffer in this realm because he hates us. Churches are filled with people asking to be healed but are not. They call out for a sign and never got one. Jesus says none of you are good enough. Jesus says do not pray to the spirit, but to me instead. Satan says you were always good enough and all a part of the spirit. That is something to think about too. He might be the one shouting the truth that nobody listens to.
No it's not the same. Because Anton LaVey thoroughly explains every aspect of Satanism, the philosophy and reasons behind "The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth", the "Seven Fundamental tenets" and other concepts, including backing it up with his own logical reasoning. He talks about the holy bible and its references to Satanism. Explains how a Satanist should act and think + it has answers to most of the questions you've asked so far. Because Satanists value knowledge, self-empowerment and pursuit of wisdom.
