God is perfection. Perfection can exist in an ideal world.

This is the proper response but I would include the word "deplorable" in there, 'deplorable actions'.

Some theist say that god doesn't need a creator. But then they say that everything else needs a creator, I believe it's called Special Pleading?

If theists can say that god or gods doesn't need a beginning or a creator, then atheists can say that the universe didn't need a beginning or a creator.

It's really nothing more to it. If one side can say it, then the other can say it as well. They can define god in any way they want, and so can the atheist. Back and forth, it goes.

I'd be so happy if a theist would ever, in any way, give good evidence for a god or gods. I believe I've heard hundreds of arguments for a god or gods in just this forum alone, but none of them, none at all, have even tried to give good evidence for a god or gods. :(

Only arguments, all day long. :/

You make a very compelling argument.

There should be an ideal in life - a North Star - something that minimizes terrible outcomes rather than something that maximizes everything all the time.

Even when not entirely true, I know a burn when I feel one! Ouch! :P

It's not special pleading, because we're talking about two separate sets of rules for two different places. We only know about the rules in our universe. Everything needs a creator in our universe. In a video game world, for example, the rules can be different. We don't know about the rules of heaven and we have no reason to assume that the same rules for our universe apply

Before anything existed nothing, however nothing can be created without something, there for something must of existed before, if it always was, and always will be, then its presence is beyond our 3 dimensional view and we have to look at the 6th dimension of spiritual presence where our souls can share in the wisdom of the sages and tap into the universal flow of Time in which one can see the past, present, and future to successfully predict future events and even possibly change the past so that the present never knows it had been altered.

It's a really difficult topic and I've stopped discussing it on Steam. Every argument about the supppsed existence gets torn apart with factual observations or statements, and it always devolves into atheists being insulted and demonized. If you want to talk about it, do it in person with someone who's religious but thinks rationally.

I would profess a belief in an answer that could be the absolute eternal existence of constants (or values) without the constants necessarily needing to always develop the same forms as they are sometimes presented as. These constants thus are the answer to both necessities and possibilities of life. Now, this could not be applied to the biblical God, and that is all right with me, but I would believe God, or perhaps the Existence which gives the Gods their conditions of existence, to save for the polytheists, to be the superior and creative (preceding) manifestation of these constants, that breathes in form to these eternal constants, and subsequently brings stability to these forms.
