Open case gaming vs closed
Is it wise to game while leaving the side of your cpu open other than dust because I've noticed there is a drop of atleast 15 degree while gaming in an open cpu than gaming with it's side case closed

only bad if the only airflow in the room is your pc, I leave my AC/heater vent fan on to catch a lot of the idle dust, and have a hepa filter for allergies - open side is no problem.

Otherwise just clean as necessary...
It's better to fix the actual airflow issue if you ask me.

Yeah, Having an open case leaves plenty of dead spaces. You want a case the directs the airflow from front to back, and from bottom to top. You also want positive air pressure (more blowing in than out).

True, it should only be done as a temporary measure, or in my case when the CPU fan you chose would not allow you to close the side panel 🙄

My new case was a Montech X3 from microcenter, it stays crazy cool and have some Arctic F12s waiting until the included fans die. But honestly, they are not that bad...
