575 miles is the US Government "Groom Box" (aka Area 51), where they filmed the first moon landing, with much more advance technology than we currently have today... allowing for instant phone calls and digitally transferred photos of it to be released in the papers.

At orbital velocity at 3m altitude it would take just under 2 hours to circumnavigate the moon.

I just read you can jump 11 feet in the air on the moon. It would be fun to bound around the moon like you're running in slow motion.

Well lets see. The moon has an average diameter at its equator of 2160 miles. pi x 2160 = ~6785.84 miles circumference. The moon has an atmosphere of w/e torr, particulate and gas resistance neglible. You could probably sprint pretty far, in bounds, maintaining your momentum. A high top sprint speed on Earth is ~20 mph. We'll say you can bound along at probably 20, and sustain it. In this case it would be ~339.29 hours. Or 14.137 days. At its equator. Nearer to the poles, could be much shorter.
