Mate, no one can tell you whether you should continue to play or quit gaming all together, but you. Perhaps you should ask yourself why you used to play video games (if there was ever a time you truly enjoyed it) and try get back to that. If there was ever a time where you derived more enjoyment than I don't know... dejection or contempt for the game?
Other than that your choices seem to be 1) taking a break or 2) quit
Ah I still enjoy all the games I have and basic games too. Maybe I should have said quit looking for the perfect main game. I guess it sounded pretty cynical. But at the same time I think you and everyone agree with me 100% deep down if they feel what Im sayin.
Mate, there will probably never be a game that will ever be perfect, without any bugs, glitches or faults of any kind (in gameplay, mechanics, systems, etc.) What people look for in games varies between people and tastes are subjective, so no matter how good a game is, someone will always hate it or hate things about it.
There will probably be a lot of people that agree with you but I'm not one of them, there are plenty of games worthy for me and also plenty of games that aren't. Even though I might find them not worthy of my time, they could be for someone else.
However, it still sounds like you are very hard to please and nit-picky. And if you continue to have such high expectations of developers to create games that are worthy of you, you will probably have a hard time finding games that are.
Yea maybe I was in some kind of mood. And I am looking for a main game so yea am going to be nit picky some. I just was saying all that to try to find other minds that are like mine so they could recommend some games that I might like too. But I know it did sound cynical. lol Maybe it was.
It is a cool game but not what I am searching for.
You are right. I will change it.
Chances are they might recommend games you've already bought and written off or already completed. You mentioned you've bought more games than anyone you know, so understand if the total count is a three or four digit figure, then giving you recommendations is a tall order.
How many are we talking btw? How many still untouched? Written off? Which ones were the elusive unicorn type you're searching for and why did you consider them worthy?
The answer to these would help any potential like minded individual to come up with recommendations, more than just the list of games you think are unworthy and the reasons why.
In the meantime or if this proves a futile endeavor, go to the Steam store page of your favorite video games and scroll down to "more like this" or search the store by your favorite category and tags.
Or google "Players who loved [Video game title] will likely enjoy", check top 10/50/100/(or whatever) games lists by category or whatever tag you enjoy the most.
Edit: Checking the Steam charts might help as well. https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/charts

Its just asking about deep games that are not boring. Dont make such a big deal out of it and freak out and blow the thread up over it ok. 100% anyone with autism or into science etc nerd stuff likes deep games.
Ive heard that a few times. It looks like a bunch of ants running around. Like a big ant hill haha. I heard its deep tho. I might get that.
Anyway, best of luck to your search. I'll get out of your hair now, my apologies for intruding.
Eve Online is player run and supposedly complex and a time sinker.
Na its ok bro. I was pretty cynical sounding the way I first worded it. I feel ya. Maybe I do have some kind of itch where if the balance isnt right I can get bothered. I dont know, thats me.
