Anyone Watch the TV series 'Deadliest Catch'?

I am in the UK and we are fed what we can get with many repeats series and episodes but I am addicted.

I know it's a US production but it is amazing to get it here.

Me too and the UK prices for a few 'legs' make it impossible to buy. They are Norwegian too.

I've watched several seasons. But honestly... it was kinda depressing for me. Watching rednecks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about how the oceans simply can't cough up six-figure incomes perpetually and forever... I dunno, depressing and kinda sad. And listening to the old timers going on about how many millions of monster fish they used to catch... there's a part of me that's screaming, "Do you not understand the damage you're causing? Can't you see it?"

I guess I like consistency and it makes me feel good.

I guess my age may be part of this

I did think this was/would be a US & UK favourite.

FYI, Gold rush is very similar. Only less depressing, sorta. I mean, watching rednecks that are essentially degenerate gamblers pissing away oodles of money so they can be "celebrities" that have oodles of gold. LOL.

And let's not forget about Forged in Fire. I've never had even a passing desire to "make a knife"... but it's surprisingly fun to watch. The different personalities and how they react to the pressure makes for some good entertainment.
