I think there's some planned obselesence going on
I have a few rigs, some of them older, and my 1070 which at the time could run Far Cry 5 in 4K on ultra with more than 60 FPS can't -- people might say it's just the age of the hardware, but I find that doubtful. I think it's likely due to updating drivers which make the hardware perform poorer than it's capapble of. Apple did something simialr with their phones if I'm not mistaken
Could be getting bottlenecked by their CPU or maybe their sys is compromised
Edit 1: Also the folks in the hardware subforum in steam, should be able to help you the most @OP.
Edit 2: Also as per rule of thumb, most AAA games & "AAAA" games are unoptimized barely working games nowadays, lol.
Performance degrades as it fills up.
