Its the booty. I was so afraid of someone walking in while I was playing it.
The Prince facing the monster was ultra badass too but its mostly the booty.

This dungeon consits of 90% unskippable cutscenes, unskippable for everyone even the people that did it 1000 times. It was at one time so bad that the fasted people could trigger cutscenes while other were still not close the objective so you went from cutscene to running 2 meters to the next cutscene and you still had to run all the way to the final stage in order to finish the quest. This quest was impossible to fail but it was the most annoying one in all of gaming. You had to do this quest in order to level bc it rewarded a huge amount of xp. And the worst part is the endlessly long cutscenes werent even voiced.
original version of FFX. seymour flux is one of the hardest required bosses in the game and is proceeded by an unskippable 3+ minute cutscene. you will know the cutscene by heart after dying to him 10 times
"PITIFUL MORTAL. YOUR HOPE ENDS HERE! AND YOUR MEANINGLESS EXISTENCE WITH IT!"
Hardest boss than any of the final bosses and he's only about 2/3 of the way through the game. Though I personally didn't have too much trouble, I know a lot of people do, especially if you are trying to do a 0 grinding run.
its easy to rush through FFX i find and not realise you are very behind on your grids. the game has a lot of ways to cheese and break combat even if you are very weak. bosses like seymour flux are definitely a bit of a "stat check" where you suddenly are forced to realised how important it was to keep up with your grids.
yunalesca is probably the other big roadblock boss. she is also proceeded by a very long, unskippable cutscene. but at least its one of the best cutscenes in the game.

Metal Gear Solid - Psycho Mantis intro. In the original PlayStation game, he read your memory card to mention other games you'd played and "read" your controller inputs to dodge your attacks.

They were so bad I stopped playing the game.
