yes, i am think of buying gaming laptop just for Star Wars: THe Old Republic MMORPG, when i already have games like Sonic Frontiers, Hogwarts Legacy, AC Odyssey, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, et cetera on my consoles, and i feel a little guilty

Yes, because SWTOR is garbage, Team Fortress 2 is so much better

that is true, but if u use it for work, some companies don't allow you to have third party applications on it (i.e. Steam, SWTOR, games, etc.) because they could pose a security risk (or just distract you from work lol) and in that case you'd need to purchase a separate laptop i guess, which would be even more moneys

I did feel a bit guilty buying my 4050 laptop over the summer, but once I started using it realized the 1050ti it replaced really was getting long in the tooth for the newer titles. Nice to bump up the graphics settings

Time to give the old 1050ti a repaste and reinstall win11 fresh, and bring it over to my parent's house when I visit for Christmas. Maybe a new battery too, all my old gear goes there to die. Or get sold on ebay 🤣️

although i suppose if i just play one game, swtor and its subscription cost, it might be more justifiable

what makes you say that? they are easier casually instead of having to compare system req's on certain games. but i might keep just one console to play nintendo switch online with my sister. and consoles are great for couch co-op..

I'm pretty frugal when it comes to gaming. My gaming laptop is all I have and it's always one that can run demanding games on low to medium settings. Anything in the neighbourhood of 60 FPS is fine. On top of that, I only buy games on significant discount.
