Excessive roleplaying will do that to folk... though not that being freaky is bad per say.

ehhh... that's more-so self-exploration and being creative.

Plenty of people haven't done self-exploration and have untapped and unknown desires to "get freaky" but are unaware of these aspects of themselves because they've never done any self-exploration or enough introspection / meta-cognition.

And for those who don't fit that explanation either... it's not that they don't know, it's just that they're uncreative and boring. Not that there's necessarily anything wrong with being boring - boring is usually pretty safe but... it's still boring.
