That's sick! Loved that series. It got me back into reading after High School. Are you going to read the rest of the series? There's also a prequel trilogy!

Books are almost always better than the movie adaptations. Mostly because narration, exposition, and characters' internal dialogue are not easily represented on screen.

today i remembered there was a mortal engines film. how forgettable it was

glad you enjoyed the first book. its a rare book series that gets better as it goes on

The main quadrilogy consists of Mortal Engines (1), Predator's Gold (2), Infernal Devices (3) and A Darkling Plain (4). I enjoyed all of them, 2 is considered the weakest but 3 and 4 are great. If you enjoyed the characters in 1 you'll get to see their growth and journey beyond the city.

The prequel series consists of Fever Crumb (1), A Web of Air (2), and Scrivener's Moon (3). I would read these after the main series as there are references throughout.

books are awesome especially when you read them with ur gf and can discuss the chapters afterwards, any theories you have and their impressions of the characters, it's a very cool thing to do together, I even like doing voices and sound effects when I read for my gf.

A really good book is The Giver. I love that book.
