Man Who Shot 2 National Guard Members Is an Afghan National
https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/washington-dc-shooting-national-guard/
The suspect has been identified as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old Afghan national who entered the U.S. in 2021, multiple law enforcement sources confirmed to CBS News.

He even entered during Biden's term. What a joke.

People should be a little bit cautious about names in this case. Ramanullah is not an uncommon first name in Afghanistan nor is Lakanwal an uncommon last name. In fact the Afghan cricket team has one of each, a Ramanullah Gorbaz and a Nor Abad Lakanwal. It happened way too recently for the usual internet spin to be considered true. Misidentification is possible.

US AID was defunded and some of the people they were helping were Afghan nationals brought over before evacuation of that country. If its true just another sad case of the US failing them and radicalizing them. With the honors going to Trump and the Heritage Foundation. :lunar2019wavingpig:

So what if it is? What are we supposed to do? Grovel and say not all do?"

The US rolls out the red carpet for these people and this is how they repay us.

Repay you? They got I E D to hell everyday in the markets, the roads, and the restaurants. Their government rose and fell over a 20 year span thanks to the commendable efforts of Orangina.

And those that helped the US Army including translators got the rug pulled from them when US AID was defunded and there was no money to help them transition in America.

We let them in by the plane and boat load. Subsidize everything for them, give them whatever they want for free.

Did I say that? No. I merely said it happened far too recently to be certain that what is floating around the internet is correct. I urged caution. You, on the other hand, erected a straw man to argue against. Don't get any of that straw caught in your teeth.

They were true American patriots, they were killed because the Seditious 6 decided to say the U.S National guard was undergoing illegal orders, dogwhistling at these people to shoot and kill these innocent patriots. They were unarmed too!

I am absolutely opposed to importing anyone else until we take care of our own.

I'm a disabled U.S. Navy veteran. I'm guessing you never served. The UCMJ is very specific about stating that illegal orders must not be followed. This was put there because of the Nuremberg defense by concentration camp guards who claimed innocence because they were just "following orders." And all that video by those 6 did was to remind those in the military, particularly officers, that following illegal orders is a violation of the UCMJ.

Article 92 of the UCMJ says that lawful orders must be obeyed. It then goes on to refine that to "Lawfulness. A general order or regulation is lawful unless it is contrary to the Constitution, the laws of the United States..." Some examples of unlawful orders:
-Targeting civilians intentionally. (see below)
-Torturing prisoners of war. (documented cases of that happening in Iraq in the 2000's)
-Looting or pillaging property. (also documented as happening in both Iraq and Afghanistan in the 2000's)
-A commanding officer orders personnel to suppress lawful protests in violation of First Amendment rights. (National Guard assisting ICE and arresting protesters fits this one)
-Violations of International Laws. (the violations here are too numerous to mention)

A strong case can be made orders to target and kill civilians in boats at sea without knowing specifically who those people are and while not being at war (as defined by the AUMF or an act of Congress), meaning that they are in fact civilians, is an unlawful order.

And sedition, by the way, does not carry the death penalty as the orange Draft Dodger-in-Chief said. Sedition and treason are two different things in the U.S. Code. Seditious conspiracy carries a fine, 20 years in prison, or both according to U.S. Law. (18 U.S.C. § 2384)

And that has nothing at all to do with what I posted. As I said, a straw man argument and you're still doing it.

Pathetic that you got a clown for this. Everything you posted is factually correct. If I had points you'd be getting them.

Mangled my right hand having an argument with the reduction gear in shaft alley during sea detail. The reduction gear won and I spent 2 weeks in the hospital in Naples. Had to be flown off the ship by one of its helos. (It was a fleet resupply ship,AFS, and we were more than an hour out of port).
