It is yet to be seen if it was politically motivated or some other factor. Odds are political, but judgement should be withheld until more information is provided.

Also it's a common day in America where people die from gunfire so I'm sure it's all fine and dandy to them, I think that if those guards had extra set of weapons on top of set of weapons that would keep them safe!

What do you mean buy "sadly" ? It was bound to happen, they were there to catch a bullet to call more reinforcments - from the start, that was just ... bound to happen. See the first two comments about "another day, another dollar". You can thank the noodle arm lefties for being so non-violent until "now", especially during the no-kings protests.
