such a thing of being too friendly?
one of my "friends" says he has trust issues with me because I am too friendly apparently... and the fact i dont understand his nsfw lingo he has where I never understand anything i guess nsfw.

am i suppose to be toxic? what does he want with me? is it wrong to come off as really forgiving, welcoming, friendly? Should I be meaner? I dont think I have it in me to even be slightly toxic to anyone.

edit: talking about online friendships. not real life intimacy. If you must know, I hate being intimate with anyone.

Sounds like a him problem. But maybe you should keep it on the downlow and keep your distance (relationship wise) until he slowly opens up.

It depends of how you are being "too friendly". If that means, like... you barely know someone yet you invite that person to sleep in your house...? Then yeap, that is "too friendly" in my book.

no, i have the demeaner of I really dont care about your personal life unless you open to me in specific and in that case I will of course have questions and try to help in any way I can. The only thing I guess would be too friendly of me that is kind of creepy I suppose is when he told me his friend is living on the street and starving, and I offered my last $50 I was suppose to feed myself with to instead help his friend I did not even know.

It depends of how and when. If someone you barely know reaches you and just gently taps your back? That is a fine hug. A hug where someone travels their hand on your back for over a second...? That is a definitely "no-no".

I am trying my best to and finding people who might respect it more or perhaps I will try to research how people act online and try to replicate certain behaviors and personalities others has to try to be less friendly and caring for others. but how can I resist wanting to give $50 when he says his friend is on the streets starving, and I am the bad guy for wanting to help?

ignore that, whatever I have on my profile, does not apply to how I really act on other platforms. I do not use steam at all anymore and at this rate only use this to ask questions on fourms since I dont know where else to ask odd questions apart from steams off topic fourm.
