well said, there really isnt anything to do against cheating on PC , when there is a market for profit and people in need for it,
again, there are those who understand the business for PC multi player games, and there are these with high hopes.

There is anti-cheat and "anti-cheat".

No developer has any right to be (more) intrusive.
They're also not going to win the battle by being post-active.

We can't have Kernel-mode hardware enforced stack protection, due to it would block most anti-cheat software, just like a lot of malware.

Most of that anti-cheat software doesn't even stop cheaters either. Making it just harm those that are the legal gamers.

If you're playing mp games on PC, you are expected to enable anti-cheat

second more people are cheating on consoles then PC now do to the fact its a joke to hack a console.....ZEN's and even titans are the easy route.....but full on aim bot is easy to do with a capture card running on a PC and inputting back to the console on a ZEN or titan......


console makers could fix these issues as all devices tell the console what they are on the USB port and the same with HDMI.....

PC could fix this issue by going after the credit card accounts of the hackers and banning them for tax evasion, wire fraud and state to state illegal gambling laws alone.....

You saying this implies you're a cheater. If you're not one, are you okay with a cheater with a cheat engine that can crash someone's game executable?

there are indeed cheaters on consoles, but 99% of times they get perma-banned instantly by PSN/Xbox Live unlike anti-cheats on PC

I once got teamkilled by a cheating griefer in Left 4 Dead 2. What's pathetic is that he used a cheat to TK on Expert co-op mode, which already renders griefing very easy even without cheats. VAC indeed does nothing.

Out of all anti-cheat techs that exist, the only AC that I will never install is Vanguard. That is literally a rootkit

How about they make less-sh*tty less-invasive anticheat systems?

things who support lockdown and surveillance should stay away from PC gaming.
PC gaming is about freedom, go to console or even better Stadia if you love being controlled by corpos.

The problem isnt "privacy".

Its security.

Battleye, for example, hasnt been updated since 2023... Sure, it updates its list of cheat software. But it doesnt update the main app. Its been almost 3 years.

Edit: also ricochet is the most useless "anti cheat" ive ever seen... None of them are all that great, but that ♥♥♥♥ is worthless.
