Who is the victim?

It is a shame, he was a decent director, can't say I like his politic in the end but he did what he thought was right. If he was actually killed by his son, it makes his death all the more tragic.

There is only one source as of now claiming that their son is the killer, and that's People. All other sites have only gone so far as to claim that their son is being questioned or investigated, but there is no official word on who committed the crime yet.

Who is the victim?

Noting that someone suffered from addiction and homelessness does not absolve them of murder. Monsters are more often made than born, and there's nothing that says a killer cannot be a victim.

That victimhood doesn't excuse the crime. It just contextualizes it.
