Yes, I got that from your opening, but that’s not the metric I (arguably most people) use when calling a game great. For me, Silksong is a great game because it is an exceptionally well crafted, deeply enjoyable metroidvania. It’s odd to me that Hollow Knight can only be considered ‘good’ while Metroid/Castlevania are ‘great (they are great though don't get me wrong),’ when Hollow Knight refines and surpasses most aspects of their design, as if iteration has no value.
