Entertainment is a real life experience.
Games used to be faster. Not wasting your time with season passes, grinding, crafting, copy pasted content. You could finish 1 playthrough in 10 hours. Now it's 10 hours of fun and 40 hours of busywork. Calling it "content".
However I do NOT pay for nostalgia. The og products are still out there. I am not coughing up a single dime to buy the same thing again. Especially when it is a downgrade. Like the blatant censorship and toned down violence in Silent Hill 2, Age of Mythology Retold and Age of Empires 2 DE.
but if you didnt you missed the best part of growing up
"addictive"... not in the slightest.
you like old games? thats perfectly fine... (you like old electronics, or old cars, or old mowers/riders, or old houses, or old tv shows/movies/etc.., old motor bikes/peddle bikes, or older stuff in general? all perfectly fine).
many claim "nostalgia" against people, whom happen to like older games, or older art styles, or older gameplay mechanics, etc.. etc..
just because others like older things, doesnt make it "nostalgia".
nor is it "nostalgia", when some dont like "newer games", because all the other factors are ignored to point "nostalgia" in another person direction.
in any case, some people have different tastes, while others dont like other people tastes.
that all said, you be you, like what you like, have fun how you want, dont let others tell you different.
have a nice day
